Geloan History

Geloan History is divided according to usual Age divisions adopted by Geloan historians to divide the planet's inhabited period. Each age has its own name: Ancient Age, War Age, Dark Age and Modern Age. This somewhat a consensus among historians throughout Gelo, although other classifications have been proposed.

The first ones to recorder history on Gelo were the Israelites. This decision was made not because they saw an intrinsic value in recording history but out of religious needs, as not to forget that they once came from their original land. Israelite's historical records from the Ancient Age is not precise, and some discrepancies can be found on their records if compared to archaeological findings. The historian and first Ishmaelite king, Obed'el ben Nezar A-Qedari, is considered to be a much more trustworthy source about this period, even though he lived by the end of the second century AC, already during the War Age.

The oldest archaeological artifact is the Pedahsur Stele, which tells about how the first Israelite judge came to be, and he's considered to be the first national leader on Gelo (even though the Israelite population was below 700 people - it was discovered during archaeological excavations near the ruins of Shevte Yeshurun's Old City.

Migrations from Mevo Gelo
During the Ancient Age, initially the populations lived in city-states, except for the Israelites and the Philistines/Ekroneans. It's not until near the end of this age that the Moabites form their own kingdom. The fall of the Moabite Kingdom is considered to be the event that marked the end of the Ancient Age, even though it's in the aftermath of the fall of the Israelite Nation a few years prior, which was much bigger and more problematic. The Israelite religion is firmly established around the Sefra Tora (an original Sefer Torah brought with the Israelites from Earth) and the redaction of the Commentaries (which will become the central body around the rest of the Sefra Tuldot will be written later through the ages); the Moabites go extremist in their religion, mainly in the worship of their god Kemosh, and sometimes lactating children are offered as sacrifices, while the Canaanites try to maintain the former status of their religion. The Ekroneans also follow a similar religion to that of the Canaanites, but another religion later to be called "Familist" arises, with (unverifiable) claims of being the original Philistine religion from before their arrival at Eastern Mediterranean shores on Earth. World population has reached 1.9 million.

Countries by the end of the War Age
With the beginning of the War Age, there is a technological race caused by the constant wars and desire to be seen as a superior nation. Several kings ordered the creation of universities, that acted as research centres, and incentives were given to those who could come up with new techniques and technologies to aid in the army and national proud. During this period, the non-Israelite religions on the planet move away from accepting human sacrifices (which were already rare) in favour of only animal sacrifices - the Israelite religion never accepted human sacrifices in the first place, and with the destruction of the Second Temple at Bet Shemes, animal sacrifices are abolished among them. By the end of this age, with the fall of the Ekronean unified monarchy, the "Familist" religion becomes the main religion on Ekronas, while the "Traditionalist" religion, much more similar to the Canaanite religion, remained as the main religion in the Kingdom (later Confederation) of Aha'im (KOA). The newly reestablished Meshol Yisrel has difficulties maintaining the unity of the people due to excess number of militia formed prior to the fall of the Ekronean Empire, keeping a fully-self-ruled area, with a much wider territory of partially-independent Israelite cities being controlled each by a separate milita. Since Ekronas's and KOA's armies are too weakened due to the civil war, they do not attempt to retake Israelite territories, and also the Kingdom of Qedar warned the Kingdom of Moab to "not attack Israelite cities or face the fury of the Qedari Army", highlighting the ongoing friendship between the Ishmaelite and the Israelite people. World population has reached 6 million.
