The United Cities Alliance is an alliance made of 25 independent Phoenician cities, each one independent in its political rule. However, due to several issues concerning lack of resources for a city to really be independent, several cities start a joint service, such as water and electricity supplies. There have been talks of joining into a single nation, but most of these talks have stalled due to territorial disputes among some of the cities.

The political structure is somewhat diverse: fourteen of these cities are constitutional monarchies, the king still being the highest political authority, but not absolute; eight of these are republic-like; and one is ruled by a parliament, but without a president or a single highest political authority.

Even though they are independent cities, a lot of trade occurs between cities, and  temporary residency is often granted to immigrants from another city. Due to this, they have kept the same language, which they call "Kina'nit" or "Putit" (depending on the location), and small dialect variations occur.
